Busy day's

My world is suddenly very busy, I have started another computer course, so far so good, except that I've lost my Hearing Aid. My search has been extensive, even to looking in the most unlikely places, such as the fridge and the airing cupboard etc, I am not entirely deaf, but rather hard of hearing so you can guess what it's like when in a crowd! Now ofcourse, during Lent there will be various call's to attend Church a little more than normal, to start with we had Ash Wednesday, then a weekly Lenten course which will last throughout, and a Day of Recollection in March. There will be extra Rosary's, and Stations of the Cross, Benediction, and heaps more, a time to renew, and it's very comforting. But we have a death in the family, which means a Funeral to attend, we received more sad news of another member of the family very ill, so our thoughts are with them at this time.
Julie, our eldest daughter, has Pleurisy, she is too thin, and no she's not a model, but always on the go,never sits still for a minute. Bob my husband, has gout and it's not the red wine, and no we have'nt given it up for Lent!

joyce's world

I recently discovered blogging through reading Joanna Bogles article in The Catholic Herald, and thought I might like to try. I'm almost a newcomer to computing and often find it very frustrating, such as when I've typed something it suddenly all dissapears. I end up throwing my hands in the air crying I shall never get the hang of this! I rely on my two sons ( who are in the business) who come along and swiftly run their hands over keys and say, you just do this, and just do that, it's easy Mum, nothing to it! Huh! who are they kidding.

I booked a six weeks course in the local College, in the end I did'nt know if I was coming or going, my head was in a spin, made worse that their computers were different to mine, I was just getting the hang of one lesson when the Tutor swiftly went on to explain something else, I ask if she can wait while I finnish a sentance, but not a bit of it, I was told I could finnish it at home etc. Feeling very much the new girl, I feebly kept my head down, my chair seemed low, the man next to me offered to raise the seat, no, you'll have to get up first, he said, which I did, but sat down again a little too quickly nearly crushing his hand in the mechanism. Another thing, I wear glasses for close work but somehow I could'nt view the screen terribly well, so off I went to the Optician and explained the situation, a new pair of specs just for my computer work, so next time I was ready, there was a lot to take in and I was'nt quick enough, missing a word hear and there, well being partly deaf does make it a little difficult, the person next to me asked, did you get that? sorry I said, I cant quite hear, I missed another bit. Thinking I might do better next time, the Tutor said, no more classes for the next two weeks, just as well, I needed a holiday.
